Hair We Go Version 221

Annual #HairGoes campaign + PEDal ‘n’ a Pint awareness bike ride

Donate to help us hit our $5,000 goal in 2021. We want to see David shave his head!

INTRODUCING …. DAVID!
Who the heck is David?
David is Family. David is the person willing to grow and shave these long locks in order to support our mission.
Here’s a note from David:
…. Why donate my hair?
Because I can. My agreeing to shave my head if $5000 is raised has rallied a team of people to fundraise. My donation of my hair urges people to donate to Positive Everyday Cancer Foundation. PED will be able to continue to support families who are in need of help while their children are being treated for childhood cancer.
Why PED? For Raiden! Raiden is my mom’s cousin, Missy’s oldest grandchild. Raiden’s mom, Elizabeth, is my mom’s cousin – Missy’s youngest child … Confused yet? The simple answer is Family. Technically extended family, I grew up with Raiden’s mom and the rest of ’em. We are family and we support each other!

When we are blessed with abundance, we build a bigger table … that is what PED is all about. Providing families with opportunities to spend more time together.

The memories I made with my family and Raiden’s family shaped who I am today. My donation of hair helps more families create memories that shape their children’s futures.

💙💚❤️
Your donation to this year’s #HairGoes campaign means a lot.

💙💚❤️
We have activated our newest program to provide family activity nights along with our monthly meal kits.
💙💚❤️
Right now, we’re actively serving 6 families with a child under treatment.
💙💚❤️
When you donate, it send a meal or family pack to those kids. We need your donations to fund this program.

Our first year as an organization, Raiden’s grandma set out to raise funds and shave her head. Her idea was contagious, and our capital fundraiser was born.

It’s only hair – but it’s sure worth a lot for the families we serve. Each year we partner with one generous supporter willing to shave his or her head in order to raise money and fuel our ongoing operations.

The campaign runs each year from January to July. If we reach our fundraising goal, our volunteer shaves his or head. If we miss the goal – our volunteer still gets a major hair cut and we donate the locks to Wigs for Kids.

We host a day of fun to celebrate the #HairGoes campaign in July. The day kicks off with a bike-about event called PEDal ‘N a Pint, in an extra effort to raise awareness about childhood cancer. Back at the party, we set up for the haircut and serve food and drinks to all the donors to the campaign to celebrate your support. Without you, our work isn’t possible.

Please check back in early 2021 to meet our next head shavee volunteer!

Our fundraising campaign kicks off in January 2021, with a celebration and head shave event booked for July 24, 2021.

Follow our Facebook page for updates as we post PEDal N a Pint tickets and other events.
